Cavitation test campaign in the IreNAV water tunnel
After over one year of research and hundreds of thousands of hours of numerical simulation, the Syroco team needed to perform physical testing. The goals of the test campaign was two-fold: validate the design of the supercavitating foil that will equip the Syroco Speedcraft, and enrich the results of research to develop a better understanding of the phenomenon.
The team selected IreNAV, the French Naval Academy Research Institute located in Brest, to carry out this test campaign.
