New Office for a New Start

As France emerges from a two-month lockdown imposed by sanitary conditions, the Syroco team is thrilled to be able to get back together (while fully respecting safety measures, of course). And our first order of business was to move into our new office.

We loved the SkyCenter on the 29th floor of Tour La Marseillaise. The view was breathtaking, the staff super helpful, and being in a full-service business center just alleviated so many of the mundane details when we started!

But we are now starting a new phase. First, we expect to be progressively getting back to fully functioning mode over the next few weeks. And then, start to grow the operations, test the Speed Record prototype, and run more and more co-innovation projects.

Therefore we have just moved into a fantastic, centrally located office space. We are a stone's throw from the Vieux Port in Marseille, within walking distance of almost everything (including a lot of restaurants and bars that we hope will reopen soon). It’s also a much shorter commute for everyone on the Syroco team, and a 15-minute walk to the St Charles train station. We have plenty of space to grow even further.

Of course, a new office means new furniture, a new network to set up… almost all deliveries arrived as expected (we were just missing the fax machine - just kidding, it was actually the printer). The team joined into the startup ritual of assembling their own desk and chair, identifying mislabeled network outlets, and installing big screens for these meetings with remote and working-from-home people.

A new start!
